This is my entry into Empire Magazines 'Whiplash UK Steebook Competition'.

 

I always liked the way motion blur is present in low light photography at gigs. I especially like the shape a moving drumstick makes, so i focused on this for my design. My first idea was simply a single spinning drum stick to create a drum cymbal texture but I didnt think it represented intensity of the film enough. I then moved the design more into the impact of the drumstick and then focused in on the actual breaking point.
