IT MAY ONLY BE SMALL AND MEDIOCRE BUT
WITHOUT IT THE PIECE WOULD LACK EFFECT AND
IMPACT. SUGGESTING THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE LOUD
AND BRASH TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
For this project, each individual student had to come up with an idea for a new and original film or television show, and then pitch the idea to a panel. My idea is a music styled comic-book/superhero film. The title of the film is Antiphon, which is the name of the main superhero protagonist in the film.
"The son of a fallen superhero, who puts on his father’s costume, determined to find out how both he and his mother were murdered, with everything set in the music industry...
John has had a troubled upbringing. Both of his parents were professional singers, and when John was two, his mother Susan was murdered. For three years, his father Christopher tried to prove in front of a judge, that the record label that they were both previously signed to, Obliterator Records, was being run by the mob, and that they had murdered his wife. Eventually though, Susan’s death was seen as suicide and Christopher lost the case. Enraged at the lack of the justice system, Christopher left John with his best friend Julian ‘Jules’ Mosely, another former singer from the label, and he travelled to Asia.
Five years went by, and Christopher returned to Chicago and was reunited with John. Although the now ten year old John was happy to have back the man who he had memories of from his childhood, Christopher was now a different man to the one that had left his son five years ago. He had become Antiphon, a costume wearing, pain-enduring fighter, who swore to bring both the record label and the mob to their knees."

AS A UNIQUE WAY OF GAINING PUBLICITY AND CREATING HYPE, I WOULD BRING THE COMIC BOOK WORLD TO LIFE. BY OCCUPYING EMPTY SHOPS IN THE STREETS OF LONDON, VIA THE USE OF WINDOW VINYLS, I AIM TO CREATE LEGAL STREET ART TO GATHER PUBLIC ATTENTION. THE SHOP FRONTS WOULD BE DECORATED WITH COMIC BOOK STRIPS THAT MAKE UP ILLUSTRATED SCENES FROM THE ANTIPHON MOVIE. SIMILAR TO THE LONDON TELEPHONE BOXES IN 2012, THE PUBLIC CAN HUNT FOR THE OTHER SHOP FRONTS IN ORDER TO MAKE UP THE WHOLE ILLUSTRATED SCENE. CREATING HYPE ON SITES SUCH AS INSTAGRAM AND TWITTER.
