El Zoológico
Cuando niño escuché sobre la película "El Hombre Elefante" de David Lynch e imaginé una historia de un hombre con -literalmente- una cabeza de elefante.
Ese recuerdo de la infancia sirvió de inspiración para retratar ciertos animales humanizados, o mejor dicho "animalizar" a los humanos. "El Zoológico" es la mimetización de actitudes y acciones humanas con algunas del mundo animal. Un juego visual, una metáfora que busca resaltar con algo de gracia los rasgos animales del hombres.
The Zoo
As a child I heard about the film "The Elephant Man" and imagined a story of a man with an elephant's head, literally.
That memory of my childhood inspired me to portray certain humanized animals, or rather "animalized" humans. "The Zoo" is the fusion of human attitudes with some attitudes and actions from the animal world. A visual game, a metaphor that seeks to highlight the animal characteristics of men.
