Digital typography has become a very complex thing over the years. There are now many different types file formats that have been all created for different purposes, but most people never really learn the difference between even the two most commonly used formats, PostScript and TrueType. This poster was created as an educational tool for Hoefler & Co. to explain the main differences between these types of fonts. Focusing on how outlines, hinting, and aliasing, effect the resolution for on screen and print viewing.
