Holy Shoot - Breaktime Studios

Holy Shoot was a game I worked on with several other talented people at Breaktime Studios. While the game never made it to fruition, it was a pleasure to work on as mythology is one of my favorite subjects. I am glad to be able to show you the work I did on the game. Below you can see the assets I designed and developed for Holy Shoot.
Some of the assets, like Anubis and Zeus, needed to be redesigned to fit within the style of the game. I made sure everything fit together under our set styleguide.
Other assets needed to be designed fully, like Artemis. Here you can see how I concepted out all of my designs and presented them. My Art Director selected the best fit for the game (lower left drawing) and I proceeded to vector the chosen drawing and then change the colours afterward. I found that this was the most efficient way of finding the right colours. After the final colours were selected, I attended to any touchups needed such as her nose and lips in this illustration. Originially her nose was too sharp and her lips were very thin, making her look a bit villainous. I fixed that easily by rounding out the nose and mouth a bit.
Weapons like the Bowzooka needed to fit into the character's hands, without blocking too much of his or her face. This is the sort of challenge I enjoy designing around.
Thanks for viewing!
