16 BARIS a collaborative project between Kartel Records & Rocketfuel Entertainment. 16 BARIS is a rap cypher show hosted by legendary Malaysian rapper, Joe Flizzow, and Malaysia DMC Champion, DJ Cza. 16 BARIS showcases local Asian talent hailing from all over South-East Asia who freestyle in 16 bars. The name "16 BARIS" is a direct translation of 16 Bars in Malay.
16 BARIS Show went on for 3 seasons on YouTube and it spread it's wings to also Australia and Thailand and 16 BARIS was shot at Joe Flizzow's owned Barbershop for all 3 seasons.
16 BARIS first concert was held at The Bee, Publika and the response was too great it was too full that we had to organize a second concert at a bigger space at Stadium Hoki, Jalan Duta at a later date with bigger sponsors coming in and supporting.
16 BARIS Showcase was also held in Singapore shortly before the bigger concert at Stadium Hoki, Jalan Duta.
This was my first ever project that I did that I had to plan all the shoots, planning all the merchandises, organizing 2 concerts and taking care of all the production and talents involved and I must say it was such a success.
