This rebrand of Barcelona focused on shifting the outside perspectives of its Contemporary Creative Industries—recognising that emerging identities within the Catalonian capital are transforming the city/atmosphere, beyond the shadow of Guadí’s works. 

Barcelona: redefined, celebrates its diversity and recognises its Catalan heritage. But, it also pushes for education, development, transformation and reflection. The brand—at its core—values sophistication, authenticity and craftsmanship: the beauty of rigours process and conceptuality. 

The visual language for this rebrand is inspired by the studio: the core of all creative spaces; a place for experimentation, collaboration, iteration and execution. Additionally, the brand embodies an editorial and academic tone that is evidence through its timeless and strong resolution. The colour palette visualises diversity with humility. The typography is an ode to collaborative hands. 

The following mockups visualise how the brand is brought to life with relation to purposeful presentation of the brand's values and identity in its integration into society. Specifically, the magazine and manifesto demonstrate the brand's tone of sophistication and craftsmanship through a curiosity towards the education of creative industries.
