Cruise Terminal in Arctic Norway

Cruise Terminal in Arctic Norway

This small town in the north of Norway is a host to a large number of cruise ships throughout the tourist season. That means quite a lot of people coming off the ship during that period. Logically, the authorities realized that the passenger terminal needed to be upgraded.

We were super excited to be a part of this quick feasibility study.

The initial idea was to show only one angle from the water which is only natural since the main access to the building is from the sea. During the concept/sketch exploration phase we came up with two ideas. Both very different in terms of style and feeling. The client was so impressed with both concepts that he couldn't decide between them, so he ended up changing his mind and asking for both of them to be carried out.
Two sketches we provided after exploration phase.
A bit about the technical process of crafting the second image.
Thank you.
