For this project I needed to design an album cover for an instrumental song written before the year 1950. I needed to create the album using only simple shapes making sure that it represented the song in an abstract way. This song has a lot of movement as well as a lot of brass instruments. I thought that a circle represented the brass instruments well and the movement created in this song is represented in both the dynamic circles and the way that they are overlapping with the stripes in the background. I made sure that the text was the focal point by making it the darkest part of the design and by placing it at an interesting angle in the center of the album cover. I chose the colors purple, pink and blue because they feel like happy colors and the song has a very happy vibe.
