Scottish Mythology and Tourism

As part of my major project in 4th year I wanted to create and expand my skills in stop motion, focusing on characters and storytelling which I paired with my interest in Scottish mythology and the folklore that has been mostly forgotten in modern day.  The stop motion aimed to reintroduce these lost creatures, specifically the creatures less known by the public and encourage travel throughout Scotland.
As part of the tourism campaign I illustrated a map, leaflets and postcards, which depicted the creatures and locations featured in the animation and could be a locational item and promote the campaign.
Below are finalized map and postcard designs to accompany the animation and provide some information to Scotland's mysterious creatures.
The following images are stills from the animation and was created using hand cut paper illustrations to form and layer these scenes or characters within the project.
