DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS BASED COMMERCIAL
For this project I created an AD based off one of my favorite games Dungeons and Dragons (D&D).
Insight: Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is known as a tabletop role-playing game. Giving the players chances to create fantasy settings and fictional characters while telling a narrative for others to play along.

Idea: I wanted to created something similar to a knight finding Excalibur, only to be defeated because they rolled a lower number on their next turn resulting in a laughable death.

Execution: I created a 40 second video ad showing a one of the players finding the sword, she pulled the sword and defeated a monster. in the real world it would show her being surprised that she died because she had rolled a two resulting in the sword being useless against said monster.

Target Audience: Teenagers from the range of 16 to adults, mainly because most teenagers play online RGP games and have started to just discover D&D. While many adults have been long fans of these types of games.

Value Proposition: Dungeons and Dragons has been around snice 70's bringing people together to narrate different stories and adventures. D&D helps people share different experiences, create mythical environments, and brings out imagination of anyone playing the game.
STORYBOARD
PROCESS
At first I took pictures of my teammates in different areas trying to figure out which type of land I wanted to use for the video. My teammates helped me by posing with the sword from time to time as shown in the storyboard. As I tried to make the story work I realized it would fit in the time frame that I wanted and it might be confusing for the viewers. That's when I decided to scrap the first half of the story board and mainly focus on the second half which still tells the story but doesn't result in a longer video time.
