Blacksmith Kingdom
Blacksmith Kingdom is a game I made in the Unity game engine that allowed me to practice animation, 3D modeling, Level design, and other techniques in the unity environment. Originally just a simple game where you push objects to some goals, became a Blacksmith simulator or sorts. Now the objects are things like pickaxes, ore, swords, and ingots, that you need to push to the next part of the blacksmith chain, for instance the pickaxe goes to the mine, then you get the ore that goes to the furnace. I made the game in a rather small area so the player wouldn't feel overwhelmed. I used bird chirping and cave sound effects to create the atmosphere, and for the music I decided to choose a medieval tune, that felt calm enough to play this calming game to. While creating this game I learned how to model characters in Cinema 4D, how to create textures for models in substance painter, how to create particle systems, how to animate objects in unity to fit the environment, and a lot more. I can see how Unity is a major player in the Game Design industry, it is very easy to get comfortable with, and gives a great user experience.
