Aliki Mahshy Consulting is a small firm specializing in PR for the beauty industry. The objective was to create a brand that embodied the client’s need to show her versatility and multifaceted talents. Her strong connection to the octopus as a symbol for multitasking was pertinent to the design process. Different illustration styles were explored from realism to symbolism. The final solution favoured a more stylistic representation of an octopus with lips and eyelashes added to make its personality more whimsical and playful. This symbol was complemented by a grotesque sans-serif font to show the serious side of the business. A monochromatic colour palette was selected to ensure cost-effective printing solutions whilst also favouring bold, elegant simplicity.
