Step 1: An intriguing animal fitting the assignment's criteria was selected, and from this an encyclopedically viable illustration was produced.

Step 2: Using the encyclopedic image as a base, a series of prospective logos were produced with various design elements utilized to capture a compelling and authentic, yet commercially viable features. 

Step 3: The basic image was again used, keeping proportions and shape in place, to produce nine whimsical and interesting variations meant to inspire thought in the viewer. 

Step 4: A series of gestural drawings and paintings were produced to capture the inherent feeling and motion of the chosen animal.

Step 5: The final products were selected for completion of the project, refined where necessary to better present the inherent idea behind the animal chosen.
