Arches National Park Photography

Photos from my visits to Arches National Park in Moab, UT. Some of these are very familiar such as Delicate Arch and Balanced Rock, but I tried to capture them with a new light, such as the black and white photos which I took with my Nikon film camera and developed in the darkroom. No filters or editing done.
Delicate Arch with storm clouds rolling in.

I was lucky enough to get this shot when there were no people there.
Balanced Rock.

I loved the dynamics of the jet trails in the sky above.
Balanced Rock, darkroom developed.

I took this picture with my Nikon with black and white film and developed it in the darkroom. Balanced Rock has stood for hundreds of years and the black and white gives it an ageless quality.
Landscape Arch.

Looking up at the arch, I kept with the silhouette look.
Lanscape Arch, darkroom developed.

I took this picture with my Nikon with black and white film and developed it in the darkroom. Landscape Arch has stood for hundreds of years and the black and white gives it an ageless quality.
Exploring near our campsite as the sun was setting, I came across this. Such great dynamics with the redrock and shadows.
I took this near our campsite. There are always new rock formations to be discovered in Arches National Park. I thought this one almost looked like the head of a cobra.
Newspaper Rock.

One of the best examples of petroglyphs is Newspaper Rock. I took this closeup to see the detail of it.
Near our campsite, the sun and the jet trails made for an interesting landscape.
