Dirty Shirley Branding- Maya Alizzeo

Dirty Shirley Beverage Design
There is currently only one canned Dirty Shirley on the market, and I wanted to focus my rebrand on the Gen Z demographic that I picture drinking my product the most. The current competitor has a simple and old fashioned design, so I wanted to elevate the product with not only my own style, but inspiration from my moldboards I will include below as my progress. I chose this beverage because when I became legal to drink, it was an ongoing joke that all I would have was Dirty Shirley's, as Shirley Temple's were my favorite drink growing up. I wanted a design that appealed to my target audience and was not only visually appealing, but also aligned with current trending aesthetics.
When looking at inspiration for this product I found a lot of "Femme Fatale" themes. I loved the feminine and intense red colors, lace influence, lots of lipstick, and all things feminine. I wanted to focus on making this an adult project and helping to move it away from a drink associated with a child. In the future I would love to explore printing this label with a pearly or metallic sticker paper and explore even more texture as found in my moldboards. I had a few more ideas from these boards that felt a little too mature for this class project so I tried to find a fitting middle ground of a clever reference to the innuendos I have here. I also tried to utilize a hand written lipstick font, but the texture wasn't quite as intense as I had hoped, so I plan to explore that in a later project.
