"How Might We assist Stobo Castle’s Spa Therapists to ensure clientele have a smooth, safe, and fully informed treatment experience?
How Might We improve communication between the Schedules Office and Spa Therapists?
The Problem:
Stobo Castle is Scotland’s only destination spa with a prestigious reputation. Stobo Castle offers over 40 treatments that require training, product, and medical knowledge (for health and safety). This is a lot of information to retain, particularly if you are a new spa therapist. This can also require extended training that costs the business time and money, delay, and disruption of client treatment, and can be dangerous for the therapist and client. Accessing any of this information is also an issue as it is in limited printed booklet format or via inaccessible computers.
Communication is also an issue. The archaic method of delivering sticky notes in-person to the treatment rooms is time consuming, has FOI/security issues, and inefficient.
The Challenge:
Post-covid, the spa industry is in a staffing crisis. Spa Therapists are changing careers or drastically reducing hours due to burn out. To prevent this, we need to create and easier and efficient workflow to allow therapists to focus on performing world class, safe treatments in a stress-free environment. "
