The 2014 acceptance package for The Alberta College of Art + Design in Calgary, Alberta. These packages were sent out in April to the future Class of 2018. This is a collaborative project by Sarah Gonzales and Amy Pon.
Each student received an unmarked envelope with no return address. Each envelope contained a series of envelopes and cards that informed the student of their acceptance to ACAD. The final envelope contained confetti, the acceptance letter, and a banner that congratulates the student and folds out into a poster that gives and overview of ACAD's services and amenities as well as some helpful tips and words of wisdom.
The poster illustration is inspired by the Rube Goldberg machine. ACAD is a metaphorical creative machine that converts raw talent and potential into unique, polished gems over the course of four years.
