Весна — пора пробуждения природы, оживление окружающей среды: разливающийся аромат молодой зелени, веселый щебет птиц. В это прекрасное время приходит к нам праздник Наурыз, который долго был забыт, а вернувшись, стал самым любимым праздником народа. Сегодня Наурызу от души радуются все казахстанцы, в его честь повсеместно проводятся праздничные мероприятия. Наурыз празднует и север Казахстана, хоть и в снегах, ведь наурыз считается месяцем начала цветения природы.

Spring is the time of awakening of nature, revitalization of the environment: the spreading aroma of young greenery, the cheerful chirping of birds. At this wonderful time, the Nauryz holiday comes to us, which was forgotten for a long time, and when it returned, it became the most beloved holiday of the people. Today, all Kazakhstanis rejoice at Nauryz from the bottom of their hearts; festive events are held everywhere in its honor. Nauryz is also celebrated in the north of Kazakhstan, albeit in the snow, because Nauryz is considered the month when nature begins to bloom.

У нашего народа существует поверье, что в горах цветет весной голубой тюльпан, кто его встретит, тому всегда будут сопутствовать удача и счастье. В месяц наурыз прилетает и Синяя птица – Көкқұс, в народе ее еще называют наурызкөк. Она является ярким символом праздника Наурыз.

Согласно народному поверью Көкқұс считается птицей счастья. Люди ждут ее с нетерпением, увидев – приветствуют словами «Добро пожаловать, Наурызкок!», подкармливают, стараются не спугнуть. Немногим улыбается счастье встретиться с ней, т.к. в настоящее время на территории Казахстана количество этих птиц малочисленно, она занесена в Красную Книгу флоры и фауны Казахстана.

Согласно древнему восточному календарю, в ночь с 21 на 22 марта, в день весеннего равноденствия, наступает праздник Наурыз, от которого начинается отсчет Нового года. По народному поверью, в эту ночь на землю с небес спускается мифический персонаж – старец Қыдыр (Қызыр). Эта ночь в народе называется Қыдыр (Қызыр) түні, а мифического старца называют Қыдыр ата, и считается, что он оберегает народ, приносит благополучие, счастье, удачу и вместе с тем дарит жизнь. В древности люди верили, что там, куда падал взор Қыдыр ата, земля освобождалась ото льда и снежных сугробов, и даже камень таял от его взора.

According to the ancient eastern calendar, on the night of March 21-22, on the day of the vernal equinox, the Nauryz holiday begins, from which the New Year begins. According to popular belief, on this night a mythical character, the elder Kydyr (Kyzyr), descends to earth from heaven. This night is popularly called Kydyr (Kyzyr) tuni, and the mythical elder is called Kydyr ata, and it is believed that he protects the people, brings prosperity, happiness, good luck and at the same time gives life. In ancient times, people believed that where Kydyr Ata’s gaze fell, the earth was freed from ice and snowdrifts, and even stone melted from his gaze.

Қыдыр ата является символом Нового года, который в длинном одеянии ступает по всей степи и заходит в те дома, где царит чистота, лад, добро и щедрость. Поэтому задолго до начала праздника Наурыз мейрамы люди приводили в порядок свои жилища, хозяйственные постройки, посевной инвентарь, расплачивались с долгами, находившиеся в ссоре – мирились. Когда Новый год в Қыдыр (Қызыр) түні (ночь Счастья) перешагивал через порог, казахи на почетном месте зажигали две лучины, приговаривая: «Одна лучина не станет светом», в надежде, что их шанырак не обойдет священный старец.

Kydyr ata is a symbol of the New Year, who in a long robe walks across the entire steppe and enters those houses where purity, harmony, kindness and generosity reign. Therefore, long before the start of the Nauryz Meiramy holiday, people put their homes, outbuildings, and sowing equipment in order, paid off their debts, and those who were in a quarrel made peace. When the New Year on Kydyr (Kyzyr) Tuni (Night of Happiness) crossed the threshold, the Kazakhs lit two torches in a place of honor, saying: “One torch will not become light,” in the hope that their shanyrak will not be bypassed by the sacred elder.

В месяце наурыз расцветает первый весенний цветок байшешек — подснежник, в народе его еще называют шешек, наурызшешек, наурызгуль. Казахи испытывают к нему особую нежность, в честь этого цветка нарекают именем Наурызгуль своих дочерей, родившихся весной.

In the month of Nauryz, the first spring flower of the bayshesheks blooms - the snowdrop, popularly also called sheshek, nauryzsheshek, nauryzgul. Kazakhs have a special tenderness for it; in honor of this flower they name their daughters born in the spring Nauryzgul.

Одним из древних символов праздника Наурыз является қызғалдақ — тюльпан. В некоторых странах Востока Наурыз называют праздником красного цветка. Красный цвет тюльпана – это цвет огня, солнца и жизненной энергии. А зеленый цвет – цвет листьев и разнотравия, символизирует пробуждение природы, ее обновление, новые ростки.

One of the ancient symbols of the Nauryz holiday is kyzgaldak - tulip. In some Eastern countries, Nauryz is called the red flower holiday. The red color of the tulip is the color of fire, sun and vital energy. And green, the color of leaves and herbs, symbolizes the awakening of nature, its renewal, new shoots.

В день Наурыза рассвет встречали вместе со всем аулом. Традиционное приветствие в этот день – обязательно с чередованием объятий через оба плеча и рукопожатием обеими руками. При этом следовало говорить слова-приветствия, связанные непременно с Наурызом: «Наурыз құтты болсын!», «Ақ мол болсын!» («Пусть Наурыз принесет благоденствие!», «Пусть этот год будет плодоносным!»).

On the day of Nauryz we celebrated the dawn together with the entire village. The traditional greeting on this day is necessarily with alternating hugs over both shoulders and a handshake with both hands. At the same time, it was necessary to say words of greeting that were certainly associated with Nauryz: “Nauryz kutty bolsyn!”, “Ak mol bolsyn!” (“May Nauryz bring prosperity!”, “May this year be fruitful!”).

После приветствия все шли на возвышенность и встречали восход солнца. Особенно удачными считались первые два часа после восхода солнца. Говорили, если подставить лоб первым лучам восходящего солнца, то вместе с этими лучами можно получить благословение нового года. Молодым женщинам и девушкам рекомендовалось встречать первые часы нового года коленопреклоненными.

After the greeting, everyone went to the hill and watched the sunrise. The first two hours after sunrise were considered especially successful. They said that if you expose your forehead to the first rays of the rising sun, then along with these rays you can receive the blessing of the New Year. Young women and girls were recommended to celebrate the first hours of the New Year on their knees.

Есть еще одна прекрасная традиция Наурыза – очищение огнем, которая осталась казахам в наследство от древних тюрков. Считалось, что огонь очищает от всего плохого и грязного. Огонь сопутствовал самым радостным и самым печальным событиям жизни. Его почитали, ему поклонялись и приносили жертву. В древности наши предки завершали праздник Наурыз огнем.

There is another wonderful tradition of Nauryz - purification by fire, which the Kazakhs inherited from the ancient Turks. It was believed that fire cleanses from everything bad and dirty. Fire accompanied the most joyful and saddest events of life. He was revered, worshiped and sacrificed. In ancient times, our ancestors ended the Nauryz holiday with fire.

После захода солнца разжигался костер, в него выбрасывали весь хлам, который был собран после очистки жилища, хозяйственных построек, а затем от этого костра зажигали факелы и обходили все дома и окрестности селения. Считалось, что огонь уничтожит все плохое, накопленное за зиму, унесет болезни.

After sunset, a fire was lit, all the rubbish that was collected after cleaning the home and outbuildings was thrown into it, and then torches were lit from this fire and they walked around all the houses and surrounding areas of the village. It was believed that the fire would destroy all the bad things accumulated over the winter and take away diseases.

С раннего утра мужчины очищали арыки, колодцы, истоки родников, высаживали деревья, помня слова «Пусть останется в памяти от человека дерево, нежели стадо» или «Срубил одно дерево – посади десять», женщины кропили молоком посаженные деревья, очищенные родники, что символизировало пожелание благополучия земле-матушке.

From early morning, men cleaned ditches, wells, sources of springs, planted trees, remembering the words “Let a man remember a tree rather than a flock” or “If you cut down one tree, plant ten,” women sprinkled milk on the planted trees, cleaned springs, which symbolized wishes for well-being to mother earth.

Наурыз особенный праздник. В этот день весь аул или каждая семья отдельно готовили ритуальное блюдо наурыз-коже. Считалось, что запах этой еды отгонял далеко от аула невзгоды и несчастья.

Nauryz is a special holiday. On this day, the entire village or each family separately prepared the ritual dish Nauryz-kozhe. It was believed that the smell of this food drove away adversity and misfortune far from the village.

В его состав входило семь пищевых компонентов: зимнее вяленое или копченое мясо (олицетворяло уход зимы); зерна злаковых растений (пшеница, просо, рис, кукуруза), означало пробуждение природы; молочные продукты (означало встречу лета). Этим ритуальным блюдом угощали всех, ели его досыта. Отведав это угощение, люди возлагали надежды на достаток, хороший урожай в новом году.

It consisted of seven food components: winter dried or smoked meat (representing the passing of winter); grains of cereal plants (wheat, millet, rice, corn) meant the awakening of nature; dairy products (meant welcoming summer). Everyone was treated to this ritual dish and ate it to their fill. Having tasted this treat, people pinned their hopes on prosperity and a good harvest in the new year.

В этот день накрывается щедрый дастархан. В народе говорят: «Наурыз – это лицо народа. Как встретишь праздник, так и проведешь год. Богат будет дастархан, богат будет народ».

On this day, a generous dastarkhan is served. People say: “Nauryz is the face of the people. How you celebrate the holiday is how you spend the year. The dastarkhan will be rich, the people will be rich.”

У казахов есть традиция в день Наурыза прощать все обиды, если обиженный был не склонен прощать, то ему напоминали «в этот день даже камень смягчается или ты тверже камня?».

The Kazakhs have a tradition on the day of Nauryz to forgive all insults; if the offended person was not inclined to forgive, then he was reminded “on this day even a stone softens or are you harder than a stone?”
