Project Brief
A hypothetical visual identity for the 2024 AGDA Design Awards Exhibition. AGDA is the Australian Graphic Design Association. In their words: AGDA is the peak national organisation representing the Australian communication design industry. With our members distributed throughout the creative, visual communications, applied design and technology sectors, it is dedicated to advancing the profession through an interrelated program of local, national and international activities in education, advocacy and professional development. Our core purpose is the constant development and championing of the professional standing and creative excellence of the Australian design industry.

In a world that is constantly evolving, design has the potential to be a driving force behind innovation, improvement and transformation. It’s a catalyst that sparks new ideas for designers and audiences alike. It challenges conventions and pushing boundaries. It empowers us to envision a better tomorrow, providing the rest of the world with the mindset to turn those visions into reality. Without design, we would be stripped of our creativity and adaptability, hindering our ability to envision and actualise solution to complex challenges that shape our collective journey through time.
The theme chosen for the 2024 AGDA Design Awards Exhibition 'Progress' puts a highlight on leading designers and how their ideas and work shapes all areas of the developing industries, past and future. We extend an open invitation for participants to embrace the power of design central force for positive change in all areas of the world, be through political, environmental or social disruption, and progressing humanity to a future of promise and opportunity.
