Tipología de luminarias "Victoria Brown Bar"

This educational project has the objective of knowing the typologies of objects in their linear, laminar, and volumetric dimensions and, at the same time, delving into possible applications of the design of objects in the interior design according to the relationship of the objects with the construction forms that are typical of the base raw materials with which they are obtained in the market for designing new luminaires.

To achieve this, we work based on "Victoria Brown Bar",  which is located in Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is a “speakeasy” inspired by the Victorian era. The history of the bar tells about Queen Victoria's alleged romance with the Scottish slave John Brown after she was widowed.
Our project strategy is to intervene in the industrial/Victorian style of the bar, creating luminaires that fuse industrial elements and materials (pipe, sheet metal, concrete, etc.) with steampunk (Retroindustrial) details without losing the essence.
The laminar typology proposal is created to be hung over the tables or the main bar. The morphology was designed mainly based on the copper pipes that run through the premises, simulating pipes from ancient distilleries. Work was done on it with the pattern of the elevator doors.
The volumetric typology proposal was designed as a standing/corner luminaire in the most private area of the bar. In the morphology, the vertical volumetry can be seen to imitate the path of the tubes present in the dining room.
The linear typology proposal was designed to be hanging over a table in the dining room area. Mainly in morphology, straight and diagonal lines can be observed, which overlap and intertwine when viewed from different angles.
