Narasimha has always been a fascinating avatar of Vishnu for me.

The unique blend of a lion and a man symbolizes the coexistence of divine grace and primal instincts within us all. It's a powerful reminder of the complexities of human nature and the eternal struggle between our higher and baser selves.

The inspiration for my illustration stemmed from the captivating drawings of Bapu (Sattiraju Lakshminarayana) and the cherished Amar Chitra Katha comic books that fueled my imagination in childhood. By merging these two profound artistic influences, I aimed to depict Narasimha in a nostalgic and familiar style.

As the first of many illustrations that will continue my Hinduism-decoded project, Narasimha was the perfect deity to start with.
