The ErgoFlex is a flexible composite polymer groin guard that can be integrated into a pair of compression shorts, giving it great protection and security whilst maintaining flexibility and comfort. The base component is an injection moulded high impact polystyrene ‘core’ designed to restrict movement in certain directions but allow flexibility in others.

 

Encasing this core is a pour moulded D3O polymer shell. D3O in its solid form has properties comparable to a dilatant fluid. This means that under normal movement and speeds it is soft and flexible, but as soon as it is struck the molecules inside the polymer interlock and absorb the shock.
