MASKS
There is always that dichotomy in ourselves that balances out who we are. We are different in public, with our peers or when we're alone with ourselves.

The winter blues hit everyone differently, some days seem longer than others, it sometimes can feel like you're being pulled down, and even though the dark winter nights can be comforting next to a cinnamon scented candle, there's no really turning away from the season caused lethargic moments that creep in every once in a while.

Those days when you doubt yourself and fear and anxiety hits there is nothing better, for me at least, than to take up my sketchbook, or open Photoshop and turn all those bottled up feelings into something fun and moody. Balancing out the negative inner thoughts with the colorful feeling of creating and self fulfillment. I’m lucky to have job that requires me to do that everyday, that invites me to be creative and do research about all things life. Making art can feel like therapy.

This year my goal is to be more present, more open and more myself. A version of me that I’m proud of.
