The Landscape of Sounds – Music Graphics
Praca pt. Pejzaż dźwięków – grafika muzyczna powstała w Pracowni Grafiki Alternatywnej i Technik Offsetowych na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie pod kierunkiem prof. Piotra Smolnickiego i dr Aleksandry Owczarek. Inspiracją do jej stworzenia była jednoczesna chęć uzewnętrznienia obrazów i słyszanych wewnętrznie melodii z wykorzystaniem technik interdyscyplinarnych. Praca składa się z tryptyku oraz serii podwieszanych grafik, co podkreśla wychodzenie obrazu-muzyki w przestrzeń – utwór wychodzi poza swoje ramy, aby spotkać się z odbiorcą. Wystawie towarzyszy muzyka, komponowana równolegle z obrazem od momentu ich wspólnego powstania.
The work entitled The Landscape of Sounds – Music Graphics was created in the Studio of Alternative Graphics and Offset Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under the direction of prof. Piotr Smolnicki and dr Aleksandra Owczarek. It was inspired by the simultaneous desire to externalise images and internally heard melodies using interdisciplinary techniques. The work consists of triptych and a series of suspended graphics, which emphasises the image-music going out into space – the piece goes out of its frame to meet the viewer. The exhibition is accompanied by music, composed in parallel with the painting since their joint creation.
Projekt posiada kilka głównych cech. Jedną z nich jest proces twórczy, otwarty na inne dziedziny sztuki – przede wszystkim na muzykę, w tym kompozycję. W pracy artystka opowiada o swoich przeżyciach, wysiłkach, ale też możliwościach, które z punktu widzenia grafiki muzycznej rozpościerają się zarówno przed twórcą, jak i odbiorcą. Połączenie muzyki i obrazu rozwija wrażliwość, pozwala na głębsze odczuwanie dzieła oraz odkrywanie nowych wrażeń estetycznych i poszerzanie obszaru doświadczeń twórczych, które oddziałują na późniejszą percepcję sztuki wizualnej i muzycznej.
The project has several main features. One is the creative process, which is open to other art disciplines – above all music, including composition. In the work, the artist talks about her experiences, her efforts, but also the possibilities that, from the point of view of musical graphics, stretch out before both the creator and the viewer.
The combination of music and image develops sensitivity, allows for a deeper feeling of the work and the discovery of new aesthetic impressions and the expansion of the area of creative experience, which influences the subsequent perception of visual and musical art.
