Print Shop PR is a publicity firm focusing on theatre productions and entities in New York and beyond.

The partners of Print Shop PR worked with Brooklyn-based brand designer Kat Summers, to create their logo and set the stage for their new venture after 10 years in business together.
It was important that the new logo represent a sense of tangibility, to reflect the team's dedication to hard work and the ‘Campaigns with Impact’ that they create. Owner Matt’s passion for typography came through in discovery calls and in particular the retro-inspired typefaces and lettering that adorn the streets of New York City.

Following initial concepts and moodboards, letterpress-inspired typography felt most fitting to represent the essence of the brand. Letterpress is a tangible craft using bold and beautiful typography – requiring skilled craftspeople to create impactful results. The process of letterpress leaves an impression in the paper, which gives greater visual definition to the type and artwork – just as Print Shop PR work hard to deliver strategic solutions to get their clients results that leave an impression.
To separate and bring the ‘PR’ of ‘Print Shop PR’ into focus, an exclamation point substitutes the ‘i’, a quirky twist to the logotype with further emphasis on impact. The core color palette combines a sense of strength with the bright ‘letterpress red’, balanced out with a pop of pink.

Following this, a secondary color palette was developed for the new Print Shop PR logo system. Bold and contrasting brights allow versatility for the brand to reflect the different seasons on Broadway and tone in with hues of specific shows.
