During my internship I was assigned the task of making the Eastern Husker Conference a shirt design for their championship swim meet. I was told that I could only use three colors and their theme was hawaiian. Before I started, I researched ideas for swim meet shirts. Blues were a popular color combination, so I went with two shades of blue and an off white. I wanted to use bright colors since it was a hawaiian theme but we ended up putting them on colorful shirts so that was not necessary. I tried to make different versions, each with something that had to do with Hawaii or something I knew was seen as tropical. The board ended up liking the beach wave design the most, those were used on the shirts.They also used the palm tree design on their medals they handed out during the championship meet.
