Blasto The Jellyfish Stings:
Promotional Artwork & Prints for Bioware
In 2022, Bioware commissioned me for a custom digital image for their socials, to be shared during the annual N7 Day celebration for Mass Effect. It would feature Blasto, the series' titular hanar Spectre who stars across various in-world parodies on pulpy spy thrillers.
The brief leaned into the inherent playfulness of the concept, and presented as a self-serious poster for Blasto's very first blockbuster movie.
I was later approached by Development Plus Inc to turn the illustration into two prints, with an alternate colorway exclusive to the Bioware Gear Store.

Primary inspiration touchpoints were classically illustrated movie posters for pulpy spy thrillers, and some exploration was done leaning into that style more during thumbnailing.
