BATON lamp series was inspired by an abstract painting by Bauhaus ‘Wassily Kandinsky’, which was able to feel the rhythm in the painting by combining various design elements. He tried to express the objects with the form and color close to the basic figure as much as possible. Hattern reinterprets his style, creating a three-dimensional lamp in which the various geometric forms of line and the basic forms of color are constructed in harmony.

He began to realize that he could convey his feelings with color alone, regardless of the contents, and he entered the path of abstractism. Hattern applied IoT to light so that it could express Kandinsky's realization in lighting so that users could freely adjust the color of lamps to suit their emotions, moods, and tastes.
