Surreal Desert Landscape with Yellow Arches and White Clouds in the Blue Sky
Modern minimal abstract background
The client requested a video with a realistic touch. Simultaneously, it should feature elements that we are unlikely to encounter together in reality. After working with references, I proposed an abstract combination of a desert and plastic arches, resulting in a rather surreal composition.
To create the dunes, I utilized an authentic dune pattern, from which I crafted a seamless texture.
Among different types of arches, I have chosen three options: "Modern," "Semi-circular," and "Romantic."
The project was executed in Cinema 4D using Redshift, which employs a 'Physical Sun' lighting type for enhanced realism. I also designed a seamless loop to illustrate the perpetual cycle of day and night. However, to ensure a comfortable viewing experience, I shortened the duration of the night so that the viewer wouldn't need to gaze at a dark image for an extended period.
From the "Desert" color palette, I chose GIBI5 to ensure that the sand is not too bright during the day and not too dark in the evening.
