Four championships and a Finals MVP... 'GSW dynasty player' officially calls it quits
Andre Iguodala (198 cm, F) is leaving the court.

"Iguodala is retiring from active duty to focus on other career endeavors," local media outlet Front Office Sports (FOS) reported on Tuesday.

Iguodala was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the ninth pick of the first round in the 2004 NBA Draft. His athleticism and defense led to an eight-season career in Philadelphia, culminating in his first NBA All-Star selection in 2012. That same year, he competed in the Olympics with Team USA, winning a gold medal.

In 2013, he joined the Golden State Warriors under Steve Kerr, and his career took off. Along with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, he helped build a dynasty that won four NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022).

Notably, he was also named Finals MVP in 2015. The fact that the matchup was the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by LeBron James (Lakers), made it even more significant.

As the years went by and his skills diminished for various reasons, including 안전놀이터 injuries, Iguodala made his presence felt as a veteran. Then, in May, it was reported that he had decided to retire for the final time in Game 6 of the second round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs against the Los Angeles Lakers, but Golden State was struggling to convince him to stay.

But Iguodala chose to retire. He finished his career with 1231 games played, averaging 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. It wasn't flashy, but it was a presence, and the core of the Golden State dynasty was gone.
