Ferrari Icona MonzaSP2 | Unreal Engine 5 Cinematic
Everything started from a dream, the protagonist (car) is Ferrari Icona-Monza SP2. I fell in love with Monza SP2 at the first sight. As a car fan, I would like to dedicate this film to the racing pioneers who dared to explore in the barbaric era.

As the forerunner of the "Icona" concept, the Monza SP2 represents the theme of one of the most evocative cars in Ferrari history. This elegant sports car is a tribute to the "166MM" and other 1950s barchettas, with a retro and beautiful body shape. , based on the power system of the same platform as the Ferrari 812, in today's era of HyperCar, the front-wheel drive V12 SP2 is undoubtedly one of the most Old School works on the market. As the first production of the Icona series. MonzaSP2 reinterprets timeless style with modern aesthetics. In the film, SP2 travels through time and space, driving on the old Monza track with a slope of more than 30°, interpreting countless wonderful moments in the long history.

The past year has been very bad. I have been very busy at work and very, very stressed. It’s been too long since I’ve used my works to immerse myself. This film took nearly a year from the idea to collect information to the implementation. It was interrupted due to various problems and the whole process was intermittent. But I am never willing to give up. Sometimes being immersed in the atmosphere of making a film late at night is also a stress-relieving process. The entire film's sub-shots, several scenes, some modeling, rigging, animation, color correction, and sound effects were all done solo by one person during the break, which took a lot of energy. In fact, there are many details and fragments in the film that I am not satisfied with, but I still want to publish it and share it with my fans.

Follow the roar of the V12 and the voice of legendary commentator Murray Walker, enjoy~
Software used: MAYA/UE5/AE/PR All shots of the entire film were rendered in real time by UE5, and character and vehicle animation, AE editing and color grading were implemented in Maya and UE5, and PR dubbing was output. The overall structure of the video starts from the shape of the barchetta, which is divided into travel and track. The front part shows the scenery of the Italian coast to set off the atmosphere. As the atmosphere progresses, the scene reaches the old Monza circuit full of historical memories, and the atmosphere of the entire film reaches its climax in Murray Walker's commentary on the 1969 Italian Grand Prix.
Painting has been added in order to increase the visual hierarchy and picture effect of the vehicle. The livery is inspired by early racing liveries. In the early days of motorsport, there were no fancy sponsor advertisements on the car body, and the garlands on the car body were simple and smart. I redesigned the latte art, retaining the basic shape while dividing a line from the Ferrari logo backwards, which not only emphasizes the sense of movement and layering, but also unifies with the traditional painting.
