"Lamina D'oro" - Restaurant Identity Project

"Lamina D'oro"
Restaurant Identity - Logo
Publication Design, Spring 2014
This logo was created for one peice of a restaurant identity project, where students chose chefs from the Food Network and used them as thier "client." This project included research, understanding the chef's style and personality, and implimenting that in our restaurant marketing design. Lamina D'oro (meaning "golden plate" in Italian) was created for Giada de Laurentiis, who was born in Italy, but later attended cooking school in California. Therefore, by using the state's nickname in a relative way and translating it into her first language, this restaurant name seemed most fitting. The project also included a business card design and menu design, which can be found in the next section below.
