CRESCENDO

"Crescendo" is a promotional spot for a wristwatch that narrates the evolution of technology throughout history, using the wristwatch as a symbol of time's passage. Starting with ancient timekeeping devices and progressing to modern smartwatches, the spot showcases this progression by having the watches themselves replace their predecessors, symbolizing rapid technological advancement. The project features stunning visual effects in its final segment, highlighting the ultimate product. Crafted in Houdini and rendered with Karma, "Crescendo" offers a visually captivating narrative of tech evolution.

The initial effect entails the emergence of smoke from the smartwatch screen, gradually dissipating into the background. In contrast, the second effect showcases a spectacular burst of smoke erupting from behind the product. The overarching concept here is to create the illusion that the smoke absorbed on the screen is the very essence that ignites the vibrant explosion enveloping the watch. Postproduced in Nuke.
