Painkiller Key Graphic Designer
Creative work for the Netflix mini series. This was a granular show, with deep details in every location and prop. Work involved a lot of research and recreation of actual elements, including a few Windows 95 machines for the playback dept. As the key graphic designer on the show, I was the creative agency for Purdue Pharma, designing marketing materials, gifts and screens. For the Miami event scene I worked with the production designer, Melanie Jones, to create an video concept board that for showing key frames in the event.
This swing CD was a recreation of an actual compilation Purdue handed out to doctor. I took some liberty with the song titles, that include the hits "Swing around the Fountain" , "The Swing Gang" and "Swing from the Black Lagoon"
Even if a poster will be in the back, out of focus, I love having a solid creative in it. You never know who might pause.
Very blurry, but the food pyramid poster is an homage to the Dead Milkmen. The title is "I care about nutrition"
I love coming up with the creative for these kind of items. I used to work in advertising so churning out ideas and executing them is pretty quick. They need to be period appropriate, and should not all look like the were designed by the same designer, or even in the same decade. They add nice textures. I only use stock images as garnishes, never as the main course.
