The university is named after a talented merchant who became a philanthropist during the construction of an educational institution and in every possible way supported the education and creative development of the city's youth. Students study various Islamic sciences, as well as the Arabic language.

[Rus] Исламский университет имени Саидбега Даитова – гордость Дагестана. Университет назван в честь талантливого купца, который стал благотворителем во время строительства учебного заведения и всячески поддерживал образование и творческое развитие молодежи города.
