PRINT: THE QUAILS AND THE POPPY'S
An homage to my home state and growing up in Southern California, I was always mesmerized by Quails, seeing them in cartoons and in real life when I was younger, taking day trips outside of Los Angeles. They had a magical quality to them unlike any other bird I knew of at the time.
Poppy’s and their color, were ever present in my house growing up and the color seemed so surreal that it got me trying to mix crayon colors to recreate that vibrancy. Although I moved to Nashville when I was 11, California will always be home, as it got me into skateboarding, graffiti and mural work, which has defined most of my life.
-16X20in giclée print on 17 mil, 300gsm hot press cotton rag paper.
