"Chang Can Dunk" is an exciting Disney film released in 2023, centered around a 16-year-old Asian American high school student who finds himself in a thrilling bet with the school's basketball star.
The movie pays homage to the iconic 90s era with a delightful mix of Pavement songs, iconic Kobe Bryant shoes, and the ever-popular Pokemon cards.
I had the incredible opportunity to design for the opening titles, creating bold basketball-inspired lettering. I was also in charge for the lettering of the closing credits, emulating the doodles and sketches one might find in a high school notebook of an enthusiastic teenager. Collaborating closely with the immensely talented team at Hey Beautiful Jerk, who led the project, we brought the animated sequences to life.
