In many Arab nations, it is customary to pass Bukhoor among the majlis visitors. It is a gesture of hospitality and the first hint of welcoming in a majlis, which is why we wanted to explore a specific aspect of the majlis; the importance of Bukhoor. The concept demonstrates the origin of the Bukhoor and how it’s made through a step by step process which will be included in the exhibition using an AR experience and the user will be immersed into this process. It showcases three different scents which are the staples in the Emirati culture including Oud, Amber, and the Flower of Taa’fy.
