BLACKMRKT
The task assigned is to research and gain an understanding of renowned designer Olafur Eliasson's design philosophy, aesthetics, detailing, peculiarities, and idiosyncrasies. The research will enable the creation of a complementary or contradictory product that reflects the designer's vision, using acrylic as the primary material and constituting 70% of the final product. The project requires critical questioning and the acquisition of knowledge and understanding of the material's source, manufacturing processes, composition, properties, potential, and limitations. The aim is to creatively manipulate and reimagine the material, providing new insights and impressions. The final product will have a black finish and may be supplemented by secondary materials of choice.
