Wine beginner's guide design
Welcome to the wine beginner's guide project! This guide is designed to help those who are just starting to explore the world of wine.

I made it in form of infographics and tried to make it informative and visually appealing.

Here you can explore the design process behind this guide.
Stage 1. Planning
The first stage was about research and choosing specific pieces of information to display in the guide.
Chosen facts for display
Once the information has been gathered, I began planning the overall layout and structure of the guide. This included deciding on the color scheme and creating faded background images to reflect the topic of each page.

Typography and colours
Next I created preparatory layouts to provide guidelines for the rest of the design process. These early layouts were refined and changed throughout the process, but they provided an important foundation for the final design.

Stage 2. Design of individual blocks
For the individual infographics, each block of information was designed with a focus on minimal text and maximum use of illustrations and charts. The design aimed to convey the information clearly and concisely to the viewer, while maintaining a visually appealing and engaging layout.
How to enjoy your wine. Blocks design
For example, on the first page of the guide, blocks of information were arranged in a circular manner, allowing the viewer's eyes to travel clockwise and easily follow the flow of information.

To aid in comprehension, similar colours were used in the text and corresponding illustrations, ensuring that the viewer could quickly and easily identify the key points.
Food & wine pairing guide. Blocks design
The second page of the guide is focused on food and wine pairing. Because there is a high degree of variability when it comes to food, it was necessary to include more text to accompany the illustrations. However, I aimed to strike a balance between text and visuals.

To help the viewer navigate the information, a grid layout was used, with clear numeration to indicate the different sections of the guide. This ensured that the viewer could quickly and easily find the information they were looking for, while also allowing me to present a large amount of information in a clear and organised way.
Main grape varieties. Blocks design
Pages 3 and 4 of the guide are devoted to the main grape varieties used in white and red wines. To ensure consistency and reinforce earlier visual concepts, I used already developed visuals to demonstrate aromas, taste characteristics, and food pairings. As these visuals were familiar to the viewer, it was unnecessary to accompany taste characteristics' pictograms with text, as was done on the first page.

For the "must-try" regions associated with each grape variety, I used a country flag pictogram accompanied by the region name, as detailed as necessary. This approach allowed for clear identification of each region, whether it was a country, state, province, or other geographic designation.

The layout for these pages is organised as a table, with each row dedicated to a specific grape variety. This clear format allows the viewer to quickly and easily compare and contrast the characteristics of each grape variety, as well as the associated regions and food pairings.
Stage 3. Final layout and results
After completing the design process for the wine beginner's guide, the final step was to bring all the individual infographics together into a cohesive and visually engaging package. The following section showcases the final results of this process
