Celeste: Animal Crossing
This was the sixth self-drafted embroidery design and project I completed in July 2020. This project features a popular character found within Nintendo's popular video game series Animal Crossing named Celeste.
Before doing any stitching, I designed the project on my iPad and colored in the design how I liked, the thread colors were then selected as I stitched instead of being selected beforehand. Below is the final design I used as a guide while stitching. I transferred the design onto the black fabric by using yellow wax transfer paper and traced over the transfer with a white gel pen.
This was the first project where I incorporated another medium other than thread. In the photo below, you can see I stitched on some small white beads to represent stars.
