Emperor penguin colony

Scientists have discovered a new colony of Emperor penguins in Antarctica.
Satellite images of patches of guano (penguin poo) were spotted.
It is a small colony, about 500 birds.
Emperor penguins are the only penguins that breed on sea ice, making them particularly vulnerable to the loss of sea ice due to climate change.

Recent study suggested that 80% of known colonies will be lost by the end of the century if no further action is taken to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
