Thought I'd do a little Isaac Asimov fanart of Eto Demerzel/R. Daneel Olivaw. Daneel Olivaw is my favorite character of the Robots series and delighted me when he showed up in the Foundations series! So I thought I'd depict the robot (the "R" stands for "Robot" in "R. Daneel Olivaw" ) as the god he ends up becoming, saving humanity through the Zeroth Law. Love him. Daneel Olivaw really is awesome.
I definitely went overboard with the "Gold" motif but that's the color associated with gods and deities and stuff and also him and his bronze hair and skin and... Yeah, descriptors (or, rather, the lack thereof) are fun! I did a kintsugi type thing on him too. Lots of little things that I picked up while reading the books I inserted into this fanart of R. Daneel Olivaw, trying to accurately draw him as described while also putting an artistic spin on it. This way anyone can appreciate the work without ever reading the books or even knowing for R. Daneel Olivaw is. Man, machine, or god... All three, thank you very much.
What I'd give for an Elijah Baley/R. Daneel Olivaw video game where they solve crimes together! Or a TV series. Something like that could be fun.
