Paper City
A city that never sleeps
This is a paper art I created for for my university project.
It was develop on the idea of places I am familiar and lived in. I pick out a few photos I took around my home and started to put them together to a same piece of paper. I have also included some cars people to give more life to my paper city.

It was originally a A4 size piece but during the process, the sun had gone down and I was intrigue by the shadow that was cast on to the paper. It made the city look really 3D. I think if I increase the size of this and plan out where I put the people and cars, this could work really well.
I took one last photo shoot for this project, this time I used the infinite wall. It work kind of like a light box because light can go through this table, I put the light under the table, so now the light is coming out from the negatives of the cut outs. I tried to focus on different bits, making other things look out of focus. I also tried to use another softer light to create shadows. Increase the depth of field and make the things at the back blurry.
I have selected three photos, I think the angle and the lighting in these photos work best. The overlay colour is the same colour I use for side A. I think it helps connect two sides together. Also this time, the photo is a big close up and I have decided there will be no text on side B. I want it to focus more on the photo.
