This was a fun collaboration which took my ink portraits of eight musicians who have played at Austin, TX venue La Zona Rosa over the years and made them into 5ft high murals by the talented sign painter Joe Swec. Here we have Lucinda Williams, Willie Nelson, Pete Townshend, Prince, Sam Beam, Ben Harper, Norah Jones, & Gary Clark Jr .This project was for the PGi office and I got to work with Austen Menges on this. Here's some of my inking process. Austin sign painter Joe Swec took my drawings and projected them big onto a wall and then painted them 5ft high. What amazing work!
