The final project for my Typography I class was to design an inspirational booklet directed to designers that were just beginning their careers. Titled "The Field Guide for Emerging Designers", this booklet is inspired by the late 1890's field guides, which were typically used to help readers identify wildlife in nature. Rather than using intricate illustrations or photographs that were typically used in field guides, I took an iconographic approach and created minimalistic vector line images to represent objects that designers are familiar with.
