Stay in the middle, like you a little.
This is a digital zine that showcases the cinematography and lyrics to the K-pop Girl Group New Jeans’ “Ditto”. The zine features a variety of typography and photographs of the members of New Jeans in the “Ditto” music video.
The first step of the project was to listen and watch the “Ditto” music videos. There are two versions to the music video which tells two different sides to the same story. This helped tremendously to understand the mood and story of “Ditto”. The second step was to search up the translation for the koran lyrics in the song in order to attain the most accurate translation. This step is to avoid any mistranslation or any lost of meaning in the song. Before creating the zine, I had to not only match the lyrics to the member singing it, but also had to make sure the photograph matched the lyric as well. The final step was to create the zine.
The goal of the project is to showcase “Ditto” through typography and photography.
