This picture was taken in Pennsylvania at a place called "Grounds for Sculptures". The shot was taken from the ground looking up at a large steel pillar. The sky was overcast that day but the sun was still pushing through so i positioned myself so the sun was just behind the tip of the pillar and took this shot.
Three hundred images later...
When I got home and pulled this image up it was very plain but I could see its potential. Worked levels, color enhancements, vibrance, and the such to come up with this very deep and ominous result. The solitude of the pillar and dueling colors of both sadness and strength gave it a very bipolar feel. After I had this printed with a black matte and black frame, it just blazed with emotion. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
A photo of my son that I can stare into for hours and see something new every time. There is something just overly pure about this moment. His expression, the lighting, his hair, skin tone...its just something that I love and I am sure everyone who has had children has had these moments before. Thank god i just happened to have a camera at the time I was having one of mine. Enjoy.
