Generally, we all know science through reading books and learning in school and college, but science is not just limited to books; it impacts our daily lives. Science can be entertaining if the portrayal is different and entertaining. A science exploration park is where people get entertained and gain knowledge, so the key to a science exploration park is 'edutainment', which means education with entertainment.
It's a platform to promote and enhance public understanding of the culture of science and technology and to popularize science and technology in cities, urban and rural areas for the benefit of students. Though in Bangladesh it is not a well-known project, our native countries like India have their tradition of exhibiting the advancement of science and technology in their way.
Besides India, there are many more countries in which science city is a trendy project, such as Japan, China, Germany, Singapore etc. It aims to reflect humans' scientific and technological advancement and motivate the upcoming bright future through an architectural milestone in this urban strata.
How can a building become a part of the displays in a science exploration park and influence the learning there?
Research Objectives
1. To inspire public interest in scientific exploration.
2. To search for indicators of an explorative environment for the public through science-oriented activities.
3. To develop a recreational environment with interactivity and storytelling opportunity
4. To connect with people with proper infrastructural facilities to make them know about the history and advancement of science.
5. To facilitate school-going children to implement their projects using the resources provided.
